Chirs Sadler was inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhiji and came to Tamil Nadu to work for the progress of odinary farmers there and she took over the work of Asha Niketan respecting the desire of Jean Vanier.

She was well known to people around Nandi Bazar much before the opening of Asha Niketan and she had been here for one year working for the mission.
